Montrose - Kinnaber - North Esk Estuary
|
Walk
ID: 989 |
This walk can be started in Montrose, or I suggest getting public transport or a taxi to the start point in Hillside. A good track follows the River North Esk upstream to Morphie Dam and Salmon Ladder and track and paths lead from there to the coastal sand-dunes and back to Montrose. The return journey from the mouth of the North Esk can be made as described in the waymarks along the track, or could be made along the beach. After Waymark 12 the route can be to the Airfield Museum or to the cafe and facilities at Montrose Beach.
