Inverbervie to Johnshaven, Coast and Country

Walk ID: 935

Starting at the seafront car park in the village of Inverbervie, this walk follows a fairly level path along the coast. The rocky coastline is balanced with grassy banks on the landward side. This is an area rich in wildflowers, birds and butterflies. After reaching the small fishing village of Gourdon, the coastal path continues to the next village of Johnshaven. Here the route leaves the coast and climbs slightly to more agricultural scenery. This rural part of the walk is also rich in birdlife and butterflies are also frequently found here. After following narrow grassy lanes the walk returns to the village of Inverbervie, where shops, pubs and food outlets are to be found.
