|
Walk
ID: 899 |
Follow the wooded gorge of the River Gynack and cross the golf course above. Walk through woods to a view of Loch Gynack. There is more strenuous climbing on narrow paths through heather and rocks to the 486m tops of the hill, with good views of Kingussie, the Strath of the River Spey, Newtonmore and the Monadhliath. Descend alongside an old wall and woodland to return along West Terrace, a desirable address in Kingussie. In reverse, climb the steps out of Ardvonie Park and follow West Terrace to its end. Follow Waymarks 14 to 1 in reverse order. The order 1 – 14 is the author's preferred direction.
