River Ayr Walk

Walk ID: 865

The old centre of Ayr is worth viewing, with some interesting buildings and old bridges. The banks on the river are full of wildflowers with some woodland areas. The part of the walk through the park is lined with pansies in stripes of colour. The walk returns through the Auld Kirk grounds. This is where Robert Burns was baptised. Walking the town walk to Craigie Park can break the walk into two. On another occasion one can start at Craigie and walk across Over Mill Bridge for the purely country walk.
