Strathpeffer - Knockfarrel - Dingwall
|
Walk
ID: 704 |
The walk begins at the Forestry car park at the western end of Strathpeffer. The first section is on broad paths, climbing through forest. From the upper limit of the forest the route goes up onto the Knockfarrel Ridge by a grassy path. The ridge is like an upturned ship, the route going along the keel. There are no obstructions to the good views in all directions. The final part of the walk is a gradual descent to Dingwall. The walk requires two cars, or making use of the bus service between Dingwall and Strathpeffer. The paths are generally good but boots are advised.
