Freshwater Bay - Alum Bay - Colwell Bay - Norton - Freshwater
This walk takes you across high downlands with spectacular coastal views and along coastal paths unspoilt by the march of time. This is an area crammed full of interesting historical artefacts, all waiting quietly around every corner. Nightjars, various seabirds such as guillemots, fulmars, razorbills and even the occasional puffin, can be seen. Later in the walk many marshland birds may be spotted, including the curlew. Wildflowers are in abundance (including on Tennyson Down, wild orchids). This is a walk for everyone, a day out on which you certainly will not get bored. Oh and the dogs will love this one!
