Tom Dubh Circuit
|
Walk
ID: 3872 |
A short leg-stretcher in the south of Moray, in the whisky country (you begin by parking at a pub). Tom Dubh is the Black Hillock and the route involves walking around it, near the summit, at the edge of its crowning wood. There are very good views, particularly to Ben Rinnes and over the nearby Glenlivet Distillery (which has a Visitor Centre, with refreshments). It's a very nice family walk (dog too) not requiring special footwear. To add to the mileage the nearby Walk 3873 is a two-mile route very contrasting with this one.
