Bochel Circular Walk
|
Walk
ID: 3852 |
A lovely walk at Tomnavoulin, on the Glenlivet Estate, circling Bochel Hill (500m) with the opportunity of going up to the summit. The route is very varied, following the Crombie Water upstream, climbing on open moor to a saddle at 1,000ft and returning by the Crombie Water, going through copses of alder, birch and pine and traversing pastureland and heather moor, with great views.
The upper part of the walk is exposed and can be muddy in bad weather, so bad-weather clothing should be carried and boots are advised. Dogs should of course, be under control on pasture being grazed.
Refreshments are available at the nearby Glenlivet Distillery Visitor Centre (NJ 196288).
