From Rest and Be Thankful car park, this is a straightforward down-and-up circuit. Step out along a forest road and walk back along the Old Military Road in Glen Croe, surrounded by the mountainous peaks of Ben Donich (847m), Beinn Luibhean (858m), Beinn an Lochain (912m) and Ben Arthur ('The Cobbler') at 884m. The route is on the easy side of moderate, on good paths throughout but with an uphill finish.
