Kimpton - Codicote Bottom - Ayot St Lawrence - Kimpton
|
Walk
ID: 353 |
The route is mainly on footpaths and farm tracks with a little road-walking. There are some fine views across the Chilterns. Many farmland birds can be seen and sometimes kingfishers can be spotted along the Mimram. In the winter months and after a period of heavy rain, some of the paths can become muddy and boots would be recommended.
Pub food and snacks are available in Kimpton (White Horse and Boot pubs) and Ayot St Lawrence (The Brocket Arms); a telephone call beforehand is recommended.

Our thanks to John Marsh for supplying photos for waypoints without any on this walk.

Hi All, Another cracking walk enjoyed by Jill and I. The Brocket Arms pub in Ayot St Lawrence was very welcome at midday.
On a general note most of the stiles referred to in the walk appear to have been updated to kissing gates.
All the best
John Marsh
