A slightly tougher day for stage 8 of La Senda (GR11). The route starts easily enough, climbing on a wide pista from Ochagavía to Zamenguda then following the driveable track to the picnic spot at Zotropea. From Zotropea the way leads south-east and then east over the hilltops, before dropping steeply through the woods to Isaba. The last section before the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Idoya through the woods is particularly steep and potentially slippery and boggy if the weather is wet, but the Emita is delightful and worth a visit if possible. The route ends in the town of Isaba.
