This is a nice easy day's walking from Fabrica de Orbaiceta eastwards, climbing to just below the summit of Mendi-Zar and then contouring around the southern slopes to pass between it and Mozola. The route then turns south to follow the eastern edge of the reservoir Embalse de Irabia and through the wooded gorge to Irati.
