Hambleton Peninsula

Walk ID: 29

A very pleasant walk around the edge of the Hambleton Peninsula, which looks out in all directions over Rutland Water, a man-made success.

Rutland Water has many leisure pursuits, notably sailing and cycling. It`s a very good place to come with the family.

The walk itself is simple, suitable for all ages and with lots to distract youngsters. The Finch Arms at the end of the walk is an excellent place for (posh) snacks and refreshment and welcomes children.

It can be very muddy and cyclists can be numerous on Bank Holidays.

13/02/07 - Peter Howell : We did the walk on the 13th Feb 2007, after several days of heavy rain we still found the walk easy with little mud, as the walk is on solid tracks all the way round.
