Laird's Loch and Northballo Hill
|
Walk
ID: 2837 |
This is an easy walk, suitable for everyone. From the car park at the top of Tullybaccart Brae, the walk passes through the Hallyburton Community Woodland and then through some Scots pines by the shore of Laird's Loch, a small loch where you will usually find a variety of waterbirds and also anglers. Beyond the loch the route circles clockwise round Northballo Hill on wide forestry tracks, passing through larches and Scots pines before returning to the loch. At Waymark 2 a small grassy track branches south; this leads to a short (about 0.5km) circular path with some picnic tables.
