Patmore Heath - Braughing - Gravesend - Patmore Heath
|
Walk
ID: 2634 |
This walk uses excellent footpaths (mainly the Harcamlow Way and the Hertfordshire Way). The undulating nature of the route, whilst not being strenuous, ensures a succession of excellent views throughout as well as affording the opportunity to explore a very picturesque village.
The Axe and Compasses in Braughing (pronounced Braffing) serves excellent meals including speciality sausage dishes. The Catherine Wheel, close to the end of the route in Gravesend (not the one in Kent!), is no longer there. Patmore Heath itself is a delightful area, which also warrants a small extension to your wander.
