Nipstone Rock (The Stiperstones)
|
Walk
ID: 2541 |
The walk starts from The Bog, an area which even fifty years ago had some fading signs of the intense industrial activity of Victorian days. The start is relatively high and gives good views for very little climbing. Some mapped areas of woodland have been removed to restore the heather habitat, part of the Stiperstones Purple Project by English Nature.

10/10/05 - russell jones :
Russ Jones. 2 oct 2005. Nice after dinner walk with some lovely views. Beware the rottweilers at the farm at 353968, pray they don't get out, they don't like strangers.
04/08/07 - Janet Readings :
Enjoyed this walk but the coniferous woods are being cleared in this area and so the map and instructions are now quite out of date and not so easy to follow. Suspect views are now even better!!
