From the organic farm-based visitor attraction Cream o' Gallowayat Rainton, take their 'blue' nature trail to cross a burn and pastureland, out to a minor road and track leading down to the seaside at Carrick Shore. Follow the track beyond foreshore chalets and out along the Solway coast, passing an idyllic beach opposite Ardwell Isle. Turning inland, the moorland road leads back to Cream o' Galloway and its refreshments, adventure playground and nature trails.
Information for Wheelchair Users: Cream o'Galloway’s 'green' and 'purple' nature trails, of 1¾ and 1¼ miles respectively, are suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
Information for Dog Owners: there is a dedicated 'dog trail' amongst Cream o' Galloway’s visitor attractions. Dog owners are requested not to take their dogs on the other farm trails.
