From Croy Bay at Goatsgreen to Culzean Park and back
|
Walk
ID: 2303 |
This walk starts on the shore at Croy Bay, at a house called Goatsgreen. There are magnificent views of Arran, Ailsa Craig and Culzean Castle as well as wildlife: seals, seabirds (there is a gannet colony at Ailsa Craig) herons etc. Just past shore cottages, a flight of more than 100 steps takes you into Culzean Park. At this entrance there is no charge, so time can be spent exploring the grounds before following a circuit through woodland back to the shore.
