|
Walk
ID: 2283 |
The walk starts from the Plaza de la Constitución at the lower end of the village, descending quickly to the river and then climbing to Loma del Cañuelo, with spectacular views over Jimena and the surrounding countryside. The route then descends again into the pretty Cañuelo Gorge, visiting a very interesting old water mill before returning via the river to Jimena.

31/03/08 - Angus Forbes :
Section 3/4 Las Limas is actually about 100 metres after the point whre you leave the track. The house right at the point of leaving the path is un named. The GPS co-ordinate and the low wall is correct although I could not spot the red dot.
Section 4/5 The beehives and sign are no longer there (in fact they are lying in the old farm building)
Section 5 - This is now blocked by a new fence with a ladder to climb over it. However, don't climb it or you will be on the wrong side for the next stage.
Section 8 - It should be mentioned that this stream is in spate in Spring and was quite dangerous to cross.
