This is a very pleasant, easy day walk starting from the spectacularly situated village of Montejaque, going up to the start of the Libar Valley but then diverting into the heart of the sierras, visiting some of the prettiest llanos (hanging valleys) that nestle between the soaring limestone escarpments in this part of Spain. The start of the walk is on a drivable track that goes on to the Libar refuge, so if you do not fancy the long climb up from Montejaque, you can arrange for a local taxi to take you up to the top of the pass and start your walk from Waymark 4. Once you leave Montejaque, apart from a few farmhouses there is no other habitation, so you will have to take all your water and a picnic with you. There is no lack of spots to stop, rest and take in the view.
