Aracena - Linares de la Sierra Circuit
|
Walk
ID: 2267 |
This lovely half-day walk starts in Aracena, the main town of the region and is an easy introduction to walking in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche area. Almost entirely on old drove trails, the walk takes you to the pretty village of Linares de la Sierra through rolling countryside, managed oak and chestnut forest areas (dehesas) populated by the black pigs for which the region is justly famous. The walk can also be combined with other Walkingworld routes (2265, 2266 and others) to create a longer two- or three-day trek, perhaps staying in La Posada in Alajar en route.
