Alajar - Santa Ana La Real - Castano del Robledo - Alajar Circuit
|
Walk
ID: 2266 |
This is a quite long day walk but very interesting, as it includes many of the attractions of the Aracena region: ancient drove trails, oak and chestnut dehesa (cultivated forests), rolling hills and waterfalls, spectacular views and three of the most delightful villages in the sierras. Apart from its length, the walk is quite easy with the exception of a long steep section between Santa Ana and Castano del Robledo, but the paths are mostly good and you are well-rewarded for the climb by marvellous views, especially on the downhill section as you approach the end of the walk at Alajar. Take in a leisurely lunch at Santa Ana or Castano del Robledo and all in all a very enjoyable day's walking.
