Loch nam Bonnach (Beauly)
|
Walk
ID: 2116 |
The walk is very rewarding; if you get a fine day it opens up some beautiful scenery. An initial climb (well graded) through young conifers on a forestry road takes you to open moorland and the loch at 300m. After a coffee stop at the lochside, you pick up an old track to take you across the moor (the forest shown on the map has been cleared between Waymarks 2 and 6) down to mixed woodland. There are superb views on this stretch.
The final 1k of the walk is on tarred road.
