Banff - Bridge of Alvah Circular

Walk ID: 2087

This walk starts at Duff House, an art gallery and historic house in Banff. It begins as a very pleasant woodland walk near the banks of the River Deveron. After crossing a bridge over the river, the walk continues along farm tracks and starts to climb slightly.

The next section is in more open countryside, along a narrow road lined with honeysuckle, lilac, wild roses and other shrubs. The route then leaves the tarred road, climbs slightly and then descends along a grassy lane lined with mature deciduous trees.

The walk then descends to sea level after passing through the grounds of a distillery, before re-crossing the river and returning to the start.
