Dervaig - Glen Gorm, Isle of Mull
|
Walk
ID: 1658 |
August 2006: Between w/m 3 and 4 the path is at present blocked by fallen trees, so it would be better to start at the alternative car park at waymark 8. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon. Please contact us if you find it is.
A pleasant walk in the north-west corner of Mull, with good views and no long gradients; a good family walk.
There are options...
If you like the challenge of following tracks that are difficult to follow in places, start from the forestry car park and (hopefully!) join the main track later.
Alternatively, start at the car park at Waymark 8 instead. This keeps you on forestry tracks all the way (omitting waymarks 1-4) and picking up the route from just beyond Waymark 4.
Boots are recommended for the forestry car park start; no special footwear for the alternative.

16/06/07 - Alison Richards :
June 2007 - the path between points 3 and 4 is still obstructed by fallen trees. With a reasonable level of agility you can climb over/around these.
