Lying to the south of Aberfeldy, the sheltered glen known as The Birks has long been a popular spot and the well-made paths that form a circuit from Aberfeldy to the Falls of Moness make this beautiful place easily accessible. The path climbs steeply past a number of smaller falls to the bridge at the top before returning above the opposite bank.

Lovely walk, family and dog friendly with coffee shops near the start/end in Aberfeldy. There’s a good spot at the top to rest or picnic, at point 5 there’s a well trodden short path left to an area by the waters where we watched a red squirrel.

Falls of Moness were stunning in the summer sunshine last Saturday.

I went on this walk with my 14 year old twins. It is well described, interesting and a good diversion when my wife was otherwise engaged!
