This is one of my favourite walks for a short day out, great in winter. It takes you below the coires with distant views of the crags, then up by the side of Cairn Lochan and along by the edge of the cliffs above the coires; it can be extended to take in Cairn Gorm if you wish. Although fairly short, this is a proper hillwalk and you should therefore be properly equipped and prepared - see the mountain challenge walk grade details.
