Glen Clova - Ministers Path - Airlie Monument

Walk ID: 1058

This route details a walk between Glen Clova and Glen Prosen over the Ministers Path and a longer route leading from the path along a ridge of six peaks, rising to 512 metres and ending on Tulloch Hill with the Airlie Monument. All the route is on landrover tracks and although most of the track is not shown on the OS map it is very easy to follow, with no major navigation required. The walk can be split into shorter sections by doing only the Ministers Path, or even just a walk up to the monument from Dykehead, but on a good day it is worthwhile doing the complete walk for the views northward to Glen Clova. Suggested plan is to park at the Jubilee Arms Hotel in Dykehead and get the postbus, or car to Waymark 1 and return along the hilltops to the Airlie Monument and descend to the hotel for much-needed refreshment.

15/12/06 - Alex Shepherd : Alan Gordon's comment is strictly correct but there is a sign at WM1 put up by The Rights of Way Society saying Ministers Walk, so it could confuse some people. The actual start of the path further up the road is vague.

02/07/04 - Alan Gordon : The section from WP1 to WP3 is not strictly the Minister's Walk. This starts about 2 miles further north. The original track can be seen joining the marked one from the north.
