Moniaive - Bardennoch Hill - Dunreggan Brae - Moniave(Walk ID: 3404) The picturesque and rather remote village of Momiaive nestles amongst the rolling hills of Nithsdale. The artist James Paterson was the best known of the 19th Century school of painters known as the 'Glasgow Boys' and lived in the village between 1879 and 1906. Nowadays Moniaive is home to a thriving community of artists and craftsmen.
