Revack Lodge Walk (Walk ID: 4296)
Revack Lodge Estate is near Grantown-on Spey. It offers several short walks of a mile and this walk of four miles; all are well-marked and interesting. The walks are good family walks (no dogs, but there is a short dog-walk). Paths are good so footwear is not critical, but boots or stout shoes are recommended for this longer walk, which climbs to give fine views over Strathspey to the Cairngorms and the Dava Moor. The walk is partly in woodland and partly along open moor and farmland, with many viewpoints. The woods include stands of birch, spruce, larch and Scots pine (with many old Granny pines). During the early 19th Century, logs from here were floated down the River Spey to Garmouth to build clippers etc.(See Walk 3180).

Grantown to Dava (Walk ID: 3090)
An enjoyable walk north from Grantown-on-Spey, climbing up to the open Dava Moor (300m). Most of the route follows the dismantled Grantown to Forres railway line, so there are no steep sections. In the early part of the walk, short diversions from the old railway avoid private land. The Dava Moor, at nearly 1,000 feet, is exposed and treeless; bad weather clothing should be carried. The walk is OK for dogs.
